Listed below are some natural remedies for psoriasis that have shown promising results.

Salt Baths

A warm bath can soothe the skin, especially for those with psoriasis. Try adding some mineral oil, Epsom salt, and colloidal oatmeal to help with irritation and itching. People with psoriasis have also reported relief after bathing with salts from the Dead Sea.

Aloe Vera

Creams and ointments made with aloe vera extracts can be applied to the skin to reduce redness, itching, scaling, and inflammation. While clinical studies have reported mixed results, there’s no harm in using gentle aloe vera creams. Keep in mind that the National Psoriasis Foundation doesn’t recommend ingesting aloe vera tablets.

Omega-3 fatty acids can help lower inflammation in the body. This, in turn, can ease the symptoms of psoriasis. Omega-3 fatty acids can naturally be found in foods like flaxseed oil, seeds, nuts, fatty fish, and soy. It’s also available as a supplement.
