Your Pickup Truck Is Incomplete Without These Features

Back Seats

We know single cab trucks are cheaper. But it’s always a good idea to have rear seats in your truck. You may need the space for people that work with you, or you may want to store some items in a lockable area rather than the open bed. And when it’s time to sell your truck, it’s easier to sell an extra- or quad-cab truck than a single cab truck in the used car market.

Reverse Camera

Trucks are big. It’s not easy to judge where they end. So, a backup camera is a smart feature to make living with your truck easier. Just ensure that the screen is large, and the camera offers multiple viewing angles.

Huge Mirrors

We highly recommend trailering mirrors or extra-large mirrors for all truck buyers. They help improve visibility and enhance awareness about what’s happening around this very large vehicle. If you need to park in a narrow spot, they can always be folded in.

Off-Road Accessories

If you’re buying a truck with four-wheel drive, please get some off-road accessories. Go for underbody protection and tow hooks in case you’re ever tempted to go off-road. You’ll be thankful for them once you hit the trails.

Power Outlets

You need power outlets – not just USB ports that can be used to charge your smartphone or tablet. Ensure that your truck has at least two 110-volt outlets that look like they can power a laptop or TV. These can come in handy for work or even when you’re parked at home.

Side Steps

Pickups are high off the ground. You may find getting in and stepping out easy, but everyone won’t. So add side steps either from the factory or from aftermarket suppliers to make life easy for those who travel with you.

Towing Equipment

Once you realize all the things your truck can do, you’re going to want to try them all out. We recommend ordering towing equipment like a hitch, heavy-duty suspension, trailer-brake controller, and other related things from the factory rather than retrofitting them later. These things can be expensive and difficult to add once you’ve already bought the truck.
